WATER

The Authority’s provides water that meets drinking water standards to approximately 92,000 people (45,000 accounts) within 65 Square miles. Service area includes Palm Beach Gardens, Juno, Lake Park, North Palm Beach and Unincorporated Palm Beach County.

WATER TREATMENT

The Authority’s water plant is a 30.5 million gallon per day(MGD) facility, comprised of 26 MGD of nano filtration, 3.5 MGD of low pressure reverse osmosis and 1.0 MGD of pretreated local surficial aquifer blend water. The reverse osmosis and nanofiltration processes operate by forcing pressurized raw water through membranes that separate dissolved contaminants from the water.

WATER DISTRIBUTION

The Authority presently delivers approximately 18 MGD to customers throughout its service area.The Authority owns and maintains nearly 500 miles of water mains, all 3,600 fire hydrants, 2,000 backflow prevention devices and other related facilities.

LABORATORY

The Central Laboratory, located at Hood Road provides analytical support to the water, wastewater and reclaimed water treatment facilities and overall quality control monitoring of the Authority’s water distribution system. The Laboratory staff is fully qualified and available to respond to customer inquiries.
