The Authority’s Membrane Water Plant is a 30.5 million gallon per day (MGD) facility comprised of 26.0 MGD of nanofiltration (NF), 3.5 MGD of low pressure reverse osmosis (LPRO) for the brackish water withdrawn from four Floridan aquifer wells, and 1.0 MGD of pretreated local surficial aquifer blend water.

Nanofiltration treatment demineralizes fresh water pumped from 35 surficial aquifer wells. Both the reverse osmosis and nanofiltration processes operate by forcing pressurized raw water through membranes that separate dissolved contaminants from the water.

The Authority presently delivers approximately 18 MGD to customers throughout its service area. The Authority owns and maintains nearly 500 miles of water mains, all 3,600 fire hydrants, 2,000 backflow prevention devices and other related facilities.

The Central Laboratory, located at Hood Road provides analytical support to the water, wastewater and reclaimed water treatment facilities and overall quality control monitoring of the Authority's water distribution system. The Laboratory staff is fully qualified and available to respond to customer inquiries.
