Seacoast Utility Authority is committed to excellence in customer service. Part of that commitment is to ensure the existing water and sewer infrastructure is replaced on an ongoing and timely basis ensuring reliable utility service to its’ customers. This page provides information on some of the ongoing projects to meet our goal of excellence.

Juno Isles West Water Main Improvements

  • Installation of a new water main, water services for each residence, and fire hydrants.
  • Abandonment, or removal and disposal, of the existing water main.
  • The crossing of Ellison Wilson Road with the water main for future connections to service residents east of Ellison Wilson Road.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to, roadways, driveways, sidewalks, existing utilities, irrigation, sodding, trees, landscaping, mailboxes, light poles, and thermoplastic striping.

GARDEN ISLES WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT

  • Replacement of existing infrastructure with new ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main and associated fittings, valves, service lines, fire hydrants, and appurtenances by CES Construction.
  • Installation of sewer point of service cleanouts to those properties lacking them.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Pressure testing, bacteriological testing, and density testing.

US – 1 SOUTH WATER AND SEWER FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Seacoast Utility Authority is upgrading the water and sewer infrastructure along US 1 from Silver Beach Road to the Earman River. The project consists of:

  • Replacement of approximately 4,300 feet of existing water main along US 1 from the Earman River bridge south to Silver Beach Road including the installation of new water service lines and fire hydrants.
  • Replacement of approximately 1,000 feet of existing sanitary sewer force main along Greenbriar Drive from 2nd Street to Lakeshore Drive.
  • Replacement of a short section of gravity sewer main and sewer manhole at Kelsey Park.
  • Installation of the new water main will be by open trench cut method.
  • Installation of the new force main will be by horizontal directional drill method.
  • Short-term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure
  • Nighttime lane closures, when used, may require closure of two or more lanes.
  • Construction is scheduled to start around February 1 2023 and should be completed by November 2023.

PROSPERITY FARMS LOW PRESSURE FORCE MAIN PROJECT

  • Installation of approximately 3,100’ of new low pressure force main along Prosperity Farms Rd, Inland cove Rd., Coconut Row and a second connection area at Flamingo Rd in Unincorporated Palm Beach County in the Palm Beach Gardens Area.
  • Installation of this Low Pressure Force Main is giving residents in these areas the ability to connect to SUA’s sewer system.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.
  • Construction is scheduled to start 9/5/2023.

JASMIN DRIVE TO SOUTHWIND DRIVE FORCE MAIN AND WATER MAIN CROSSING OF NORTHLAKE BOULEVARD AND C-17 CANAL

  • Installation of approximately 2650’ new 12” force main via horizontal directional drill method beneath Northlake Blvd and the Earman River and open trench cut method on Southwind Dr.
  • Installation of approximately 600’ of 6” new water main beneath the Earman River via horizontal directional drill method to loop water main distribution system for water quality control purposes.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required on Jasmine Dr. and Southwind Dr. throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.
  • Walkway / Sidewalk on the south side of the tennis courts will be temporarily closed throughout the duration of the project.
  • Start Date: 10/02/2023.

LAKE PARK FORCE MAIN IMPROVEMENTS

  • Installation of approximately 5,300’ of 12” PVC force main and 570’ of 6” PVC force main with necessary connections via open cut and directional drilling to replace an existing force main that has reached the end of its useful life.
  • Streets affected during construction include: W. Jasmine Dr., Palmetto Rd., Crescent Dr., Seminole Blvd., Flagler Blvd., 5th, Greenbriar Dr., and 2nd St. in the Town of Lake Park.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.
  • Start Date: 6/19/2023.

CORSAIR WATER MAIN LOOP

  • Installation of approximately 400’ of 8” new water main via horizontal directional drill method beneath the south side of the parking lot for Village Square Plaza at 420 U.S. Hwy 1 from Corsair Dr. to U.S. Hwy 1.
  • Replacement of existing water infrastructure on U.S. Hwy 1 in front of 400 & 420 U.S. Hwy 1. (Frigates Waterfront Bar & Village Square Plaza).
  • Short-term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Start date: 9/12/2023.

MARINA DRIVE WATER MAIN LOOP

  • Installation of approximately 230’ of 8” HDPE water main via horizontal directional drill method to create a loop in the water distribution system to reduce the number of customers without water in the event of a water break or a water shut down.
  • Replacement of fire hydrant.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project on Marina Dr. and in the alley way between U.S. Hwy 1 and Marina Dr.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.

HOOD ROAD FORCE MAIN

  • Installation of approximately 1,740’ of 8” force main via open cut method and directional drill method to replace an existing force main that has reached end of its useful life.
  • Construction will take place from Coastal Cir. and Flamingo Rd. to Princewood Ln. and Hood Rd., in the Palm Beach Gardens area.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.

LIFT STATION 81 ACCESS DRIVEWAY

  • Construction of a new driveway access to Lift Station No. 81 within Ryder Cup Blvd. located approximately 340’ south of Tournament Blvd., adjacent to the maintenance facility.
  • Adding the new driveway will allow SUA easier access to the lift station for maintenance and can benefit SUA and residents in The PGA National Area in case of an emergency situation with the sewer system.
  • Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities, including, but not limited to: Roadways; Driveways; Sidewalks; Existing utilities; Irrigation; Sodding; Landscaping; Mailboxes; Light poles; and Pavement striping.
  • Short term lane closures will be required throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daytime lane closures will generally consist of a single lane closure.

Preliminary planning for pipeline infrastructure replacement is underway. A planning map depicts future projects with estimated dates of construction. Priority is considered by age, failure history, service history, and materials concerning the likelihood/consequence of failure.
