Seacoast Construction 

Seacoast Utility proactively repairs and replaces the water and wastewater system to provide for reliability and public safety. These planned replacements are safer, more cost effective and create less overall inconvenience to our customers. The oldest sections of the water and sewer system are approaching 70 years in age and nearing the end of the useful life. Additional information is provided below for a few ongoing projects that customers may want additional information.

NORTHLAKE BLVD./US 1 WATER AND SEWER FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PHASE 1

Water and sewer infrastructure replacement on both sides of Northlake Blvd. from Alt A1A to US-1. Work begins in January 2020 for approximately 10 months. CABANA COLONY NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS

Hinderland Group Inc. Have been awarded the contract for the water main replacement on Island Rd, Hillman Drive, Grove Rd, and Dolphin Drive. Construction will begin in October 2020 with Completion scheduled for January 2021. Residences should expect scheduled periodic lane and driveway closures. Interruption of water services will be minimized and where possible residences will be provided advanced notice. The engineering firm Chen-Moore and Associates is overseeing the project for Seacoast Utility Authority.

 

 
Teach road gravity sewer extension

Deevan Inc. has been awarded a contract to install 150’ gravity sewer main extension on Teach Road. This project completes the availability of gravity sewer in the Pirate Cove neighborhood while providing the infrastructure for a future low-pressure sewer system for the neighborhood. Construction should be completed before December 2020.

PLANNING AND FUTURE PROJECTS

Preliminary planning for pipeline infrastructure replacement is underway. A planning map depicts future projects with estimated dates of construction. Priority is given consideration by age, failure history, service history and materials with respect to likelihood/consequence of failure. Where possible, these projects delivery dates may be adjusted to coordinate with projects by others to minimize customer inconvenience. Click here for the planning map.
