Seacoast makes every possible effort to provide you with continuous service; however, there are times when service must be interrupted or water pressure lowered temporarily.
If there is a scheduled interruption of service or lowering of water pressure, a boil water may be issued. You will be notified either by mail, personal visit, television, radio, newspaper, door hanger or by a combination of these methods. Of course, there will be times when an emergency situation arises causing your service to be interrupted without notice.
If your service is off and you have not been previously notified, first check your house valve to make sure it is on before calling our Customer Service Office. Our rapidly growing area means that we must continue to extend service to new communities. During construction, there may be times when water or sewer service is temporarily interrupted due to a line break, blockage or repair. Call us immediately to report any instances of this nature so that we can investigate.
Water Line Break
If there is a water line break at your residence or place of business any time, call us immediately. We will send a service person as quickly as possible. In the meantime, turn off your house valve. In an emergency, seconds could mean the difference between minimal and severe damage to your property. DO NOT attempt to turn off the valve in the meter box or tamper with the meter in any way. Not only is meter tampering dangerous, it is also a civil and criminal offense.
Seacoast is here to serve you twenty-four hours a day. If you have a problem with a sewage backup, CALL US FIRST. Seacoast must investigate the problem prior to you calling an outside service company, such as a plumber or cleaning company. A drainage problem in one area of your home/business does not necessarily indicate a backup. Poor drainage of all plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.) could indicate a sewage backup.
Call Us Immediately
- If you see an overflow from a manhole.
- If you see an uncovered manhole.
- If you hear an alarm at a lift station
- If you see a flashing light at a lift station (A lift station usually services a large area and malfunctions can result in complete loss of service for that area).
- If you see a sinkhole forming in your area.
